Dublin Hotel, The Clarence Hotel

Situated in the original bar of the hotel this is the place where Bono & The Edge fell in love with The Clarence and decided to buy the hotel, to this day this is  a place they would choose to drink when in Dublin.

Although the Octagon shaped dome & bar are the main focal points there are a number of original historical features just waiting to be discovered. 

Most examples are found in The Back Bar and include the windows, the octagonal clock over the fireplace, The Snug and the original Art Deco floor.

The Octagon Bar is a popular meeting place and is available for pre-dinner drinks, informal cocktail receptions, dining and private hire.
